one pant, two ways: plaid trousers

Whether it's a relaxing day shopping over the weekend or a day full of meetings, plaid is a go-to this fall.

a new trend to try this summer: peek-a-boo socks

Peek-a-boo socks are my new thing.
I'm loving them so much.
All thanks to Ms. Kendi Everyday

Whats sad is that I'm just assuming the summer is going to be cold enough for socks. You're disappointing me, Minnesota!

Etsy Favorite: The Wheatfield

Life has been crazy busy lately. I started new hours at work so I have no time to do anything fun. I'm finally able to use Alv's computer so I thought I would work on some posts while I have the time. I haven't shared with you some of my Etsy favorites in a long time. I can always count on Etsy to inspire me. I love looking at the lovely designs of Katie Daisy over at her shop The Wheatfield. They're so adorable and rustic - perfect for decorating the cabin up north.

You know what else is cool about her? She designed the new design over at Under The Sycamore, a favorite blog of mine. Go check out her work!

How To Make a Lipstick Palette

When I came across this by Crafty Mood forever ago while stumbling on Stumble Upon, I just about died. I'm a lipstick fanatic and I have so many tubes of lipstick that are either worn down, without covers, or simply have seen better days. This is a creative way to puts all of those shades into one palette. Go check out her original post for a tutorial on how to make one. Perfect for yourself, even better as a gift.

Chalkboard Paint

all photos found on pinterest

I've been obsessed with chalkboard paint. There are so many creative and fun ways that you can use it. In the kitchen, while organizing supplies/materials, as a headboard, etc. One of my favorite ways that I've seen it used is in an empty frame on the wall. This way you can continuously change the quote/saying as often as you want! For me, this is a plus because I'm constantly looking for ways to change things. I get bored very, very easily. Here is an article about some of the best uses for this paint. How would you use it?

Another favorite is this serving tray:

Art Studio Dreaming

I go through phases when it comes to painting. I might paint every day for two weeks straight and then I might not pick up a paint brush for an entire month. It's a trait of mine that I blame on my zodiac sign. I can never finish what I start! But, another contributing factor is that I don't have a great spot to create a mess. In college, I had to rely on my kitchen table. At home, I resort to my garage. Neither are all the exciting or inspiring. I feel like if I had a fabulous place to do my art that I would make something every day. If I had the opportunity to use any of the spaces above, I would never leave.

One day.... *sigh*

5 Things: Colorful Corridors

I would give anything to be able to own and decorate my own house right now. I'm always finding the most charming photos of people's homes that inspire me to no end. When the time finally comes to decorate my home, I will be so indecisive that it will probably remain unfinished until my children move out and I have to downgrade. One thing that must remain true in all of my rooms, though, is pops on pops of color! Loving these below:
those pillows

and because I'm feeling like extra inspired today I will through in a sixth image.

Have a fantastic day :)

For You, Love Me

I recently came across a blog: Rockstar Diaries to be exact. While reading her "About Me", I saw a video she posted of her and her husband. OH MY Gaaaah, it was amazing. So adorable and creative. At the end of the video, there was a link to the website of the videographers. I immediately went to the page and gazed at all of their glorious pictures and videos.

The company is called For You, Love Me, and they consist of a couple, one a photographer and the other a filmmaker. They are based in the D.C. area but are willing to travel and have some amazing shots from all over the United States and the world. I truly recommend checking out their work if you are into beautiful things. I posted below a wedding day video that they made in New Zealand.

Ring in the New Year with a Fling before the Ring

Sometimes when I feel like fantasizing about my dream wedding or looking at beautiful photos of other's big day, I immediately go to Style Me Pretty. It is one of the prettiest websites I've ever laid eyes upon. There are so many fantastic photographers, creative planners, and beautiful weddings and bridal parties. I just sit in awe the entire time I surf their page. Earlier this week I was reading about a New Year's Eve inspired bachelorette party. It was SO cute! All the glitter and glitz was so perfect for the theme. I thought I would share with you guys some of the pictures. To read more about it and to see the full gallery of images go here.

Kitchenspiration

I often find myself envious of every blog I come across. I mean, some of you have the coolest lives EVER. It's boring being an almost 23 year-old unemployed, college graduate, living in her parent's basement. Can I just fast-forward a couple years so I can have a fabulous blog like most that I come across. (There is actually a list of blogs I frequently visit on the lower left side of the page).

So, I was just visiting A Beautiful Mess and just about died when I saw the tour of her kitchen seen here. My two favorite things would be the chalkboard cupboards and beautiful collage of her "1st year of marriage" memories. Such a cute idea.

DIY Cork Bottle Stoppers

I was reading ModCloth's Blog today and they posted the most adorable crafting idea ever: DIY Cork Bottle Stoppers! Are they not the cutest? I would make these in a second...

I'm sure you all have a million little trinkets around your home that you could use as a cute little stopper. I could easily name about 5 right now off of the top of my head. I just might have to make some for my parents since they have more than enough wine bottles that could use these.
