spring 2013 trend report: black and white

 Black and white is HUGE this year. This spring is all about bringing back the basics in your wardrobe whether its your jeans, nude nails, or having natural makeup. Being a simple girl, I am so happy about this. The best part about this trend is that I can still play up an outfit whenever I'm feeling spunky: the pop of a bright lip, standout shoes, chunky and colorful jewelry.

spring 2013 trend report: boxy cross body bags

Well ladies, time to start prepping your closets for spring! You have no idea how excited I am to throw out my salty boots and oversized knits. It's time for some color and shoes that show off my cute pedicures. Ah, warm weather, I miss you so. 

There are a lot of new and reoccurring trends popping up this spring. Over the next few weeks I'll be show casing some of them for you guys. Today is all about boxy cross body bags. They are everywhere lately! Don't let their casual feel fool you. You can still wear one of these bags for a night out - think white blouse, black cigarette pants, pumps, and anstudded crossbody. Just throw on some lipstick and you'll be all set for the night!

Leave it to Threadsence to make me wish I had endless amount of money. Spring time means colors, prints, and bare legs. Change things up this year: instead of denim shorts, play up your girly side with scalloped lace shorts. Instead of a short bandage skirt, rock an asymmetrical skirt, that's just as sexy and shows just enough leg. Don't be afraid to mix prints and colors. Fashion is all about experimenting!

It's been pretty apparent I've been anxiously waiting for springs arrival. Yeah, it may be March but the ground is still covered with sloshy, messy snow. (The worst kind...) So in my eyes, it's still winter. I've had spring fever for a while when it comes to my closet, but I can't forget to give the house some attention! Are you sick of me talking about spring trends and colorful wardrobes yet? I can't stop talking about how excited I am for some new trends and styles. Topshop is a place I often find myself "online window shopping" at. They have some of the cutest clothes on earth. Leave it to Jessica Alba to make me swoon over an outfit. Blazers have been making their way into people's closets for the past couple of years. It's a timeless piece that works on all body types. Here, Jessica plays into an upcoming spring trend: pops of color! Miss Alba chose a Lisa Ho blazer in this wonderful green color. She pairs it with candy-colored Tibi blouse and 70's inspired flares. Amazing. She finishes the outfit off with gold-colored platforms and bracelets.
